Ensuring taxes stay reasonable
This is the most important fiscal fact for Rocky View County. Residential makes up just over a third of the tax revenue and the vast majority comes from our strong non-residential and industrial sector.
With 46,000 people and 2,700 businesses in a massive area, we have a tremendous opportunity to grow the non-residential. Cutting services diminishes value and doesn’t always mean lower taxes. We need to be strategic.
Every new business we attract responsibly spreads the cost of our services, meaning more revenue without raising taxes. Cutting red tape will help forge a sustainable path to funding the services we rely on while protecting homeowners.
