Ethics and Transparency on Council
You've hit on the most important currency in politics: trust. My commitment to transparency goes beyond keeping score; it's about maintaining that relationship with the residents of Langdon. My campaign funding reflects that being funded by close friends and family. I’ve kept personal contributions low as they can come with their own perceptions.
First, I pledge my presence. I will live in Langdon for my entire term. This isn't just about following the rules; it's about being your neighbour, sharing your concerns, and being fully invested in our community. Skin in the game.
Second, I pledge plain language. My time on the SDAB and Assessment Review Board taught me that even a 'no' can build trust if the reasons are clear. I will always explain the 'why' behind my decisions and be available for further discussion.
And finally, I pledge my time. Beyond town halls, I believe in real conversation. That's why I'm committed to breaking bread with residents—to listen one-on-one over a coffee or a meal.
My platform was my first promise. These are my commitments to ensure I honor it with integrity.
