Relationship between the Province and Rocky View County

Right now our county is rapidly gaining approval for several infrastructure projects that are going to improve the flow and safety of traffic for our residents and we need to maintain that momentum. Rocky View stagnated for over 10 years due to previous councils and we've finally regained the attention of our provincial government in a meaningful way.

We need to maintain this trajectory to ensure it continues. We need a pragmatic leader to be elected who is prepared to work with the other elected councillors to make decisions and take accountability.

We must strategically align our asks with provincial goals. With Alberta allocating $2.6 billion for capital investment in roads and bridges, my focus is to present shovel-ready projects that meet both our needs and the province's economic objectives.

A strong financial base is critical for sustaining this relationship and we can’t afford to be wishy-washy.
