Platform:

A Stronger, Safer, Sustainable Langdon.

I’m running for Councillor to be a strong voice for Langdon and to protect what makes our community special. My focus is on three core priorities:

  • A Stronger Community: Guiding growth to protect Langdon’s unique character.

  • A Safer Community: Addressing urgent infrastructure and safety concerns.

  • A Sustainable Community: Ensuring we get better.

A STRONGER COMMUNITY

Guided Growth that Protects Our Character. That Character is Non-Negotiable.

  • Growth on Our Terms: I will work to ensure new builds complement—not compromise—the community we love. Growth must mean enhancing Langdon, not diminishing it.

  • A Place for All Ages: We need housing options that allow families to put down roots and seniors to retire here. Creating a path for a dedicated retirement facility is a top priority.

  • Your Voice, Heard: I will be accessible. While I support scheduled open houses, I know issues don’t follow a calendar. My door is always open.

  • Protecting Our Assets: Our volunteer fire department is incredible. I will strongly advocate to keep it under local control.

A SAFER COMMUNITY

Fixing Infrastructure and Ensuring Security. From flooding to traffic, we face real challenges that demand action.

  • Stormwater Solutions: The flooding this year was unacceptable. I will work to get clear, long-term stormwater management plans from administration, so we have real solutions, not just more problems.

  • Traffic & Roads: As Prairie Gateway develops, traffic will worsen. I will continue the push to pave 114th Avenue to reroute heavy traffic around Langdon, not through it, and ensure the Glenmore/RR283 intersection project actually solves our issues.

  • Law Enforcement: Regardless of how Alberta’s Sheriffs Police Service evolves, Langdon must have a seat at the table. I will ensure our voice is heard on issues of traffic enforcement, theft, and vandalism to keep our community safe.

  • Protecting Local Business: I stood against the County’s misguided mandatory business license, which would have taxed our small businesses for simply existing. I will always protect our entrepreneurs from costly, unnecessary big-government programs.

A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY

Better Services for Our Money. Getting the value out of our tax dollars.

  • Services You Can Count On: Weekly garbage pickup, reliable snow plowing, clean water, and smooth roads are the basics. When the County stopped clearing our sidewalks without cutting taxes, it was a tax increase by stealth. I will fight to ensure our services meet the standard we pay for.

  • Smart Commercial Growth: New developments like Living Sky should add to our existing business community, not create isolated pockets that bypass it. I will advocate for developing vacant land in Langdon’s core to strengthen our local economy and support our homegrown businesses.
