Who am I?
My name is Nick Wiebe. I moved to Langdon in 2020 and, like so many of you, I fell in love with this community. It’s a special place, and that’s worth protecting.
Eager to get involved, I was grateful for the opportunity in 2021 to serve Langdon on several Rocky View County boards: the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and the Assessment and Review Board. I also represented the county on the Marigold Library Board, where I worked with representatives from neighbouring municipalities and was able to contribute to the project that brought our Langdon Library to life.
I bring a diverse perspective from my career in sectors including oil and gas, automotive, industrial electronics, media, and advocacy. Having served in executive, management, and leadership roles, I’ve developed the patience and depth needed to engage with residents, understand complex problems, and find practical solutions.
I’m running for Councillor to be a part of preserving what makes Langdon great while we manage necessary growth. My goal is to ensure Langdon remains the community we all know and love, 20, 30, and 40 years into the future. That means asking the right questions, sharing your ideas, and always fighting to keep Langdon thriving.
